Sometimes it's painful.
Sometimes it's beautiful.
But most of the time, it's both.

About Me
I am a licensed psychologist, who believes we are doing the best we can, with the tools we currently have, to navigate life's challenges. Sometimes, the tools we have either stop working or we realize the tools are having negative consequences to us.
Life is busy and stressful on a "normal day" (not to mention a global pandemic!). So, it's not surprising that most of us are struggling with some form of anxiety/stress. Many of us are in a state of transition (working in office vs remote, deciding how we want to spend our time, adjusting to new family/friend dynamics, etc.). It can feel overwhelming, like we're trapped/isolated and don't know where to even start. That's where therapy can be helpful if not essential. Let me help you learn how to navigate those worries and stressors more effectively.
I have a strong background in trauma related/anxiety disorders, life transitions, and interpersonal relationships. I use various evidence-based strategies including, but not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy (e.g., examining negative self-talk), trauma focused therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and exploring life's purpose/meaning in order to help clients more effectively address life’s challenges. Further, I explore issues related to diversity (e.g., age, race/ethnicity, sexual identity, gender identity), power, and privilege with clients.
